SISTERHOOD WORLD CUP 2012 ON THIS WEEKEND


Sadili’ s Girl Power Clubs Programme this year brings the very unique 7 Aside Sisterhood World Cup tournament earlier than the year 2012 with a new array of awareness and educational activities. The event which shall use a girls’ only ‘world cup’ to promote HIV/AIDS awareness, Gender Mainstreaming and Gender Equality amongst Girls in and outside Nairobi has already received participatory confirmation from 16 acknowledged Girls’ teams. The event begins its preliminaries this Saturday 26th May at Sadili Oval Sports Academy at 9AM, the Quarters and semi finals shall be  played on the 16th of June and the finals shall be held on the 30th of June at the same venue. The world cup which promises a lot of female soccer action, colour and success is proud to confirm the participation of Nairobi High Schools’ soccer Champions Olympic High School and Eastlands’ ever winning Future Talent side. Other teams to watch out for include the English Sponsored Sunderland Samba F.C and hosts Sadili soccer Academy. Notable inclusions in the draw include three-time Langata youth soccer league Girls Under 16 winners Makina Self Help and the hard fighting outfit that is Bavarians Fruitful soccer academy. Daughters of the Military based at the 7 Kenya Rifles battalion- the Langata Barracks High School shall also participate in the tournament where they shall fight it out with Kibera’ s Holy Unity and Nazarene schools for possible quarter final appearances.
